SNUG Boston has experienced steady growth in user attendance for the past 5 years. A record crowd of 429 users attended this year's event to expand their knowledge and network with peers. The conference began with a keynote speech by Synopsys CEO, Aart de Geus. The SNUG Technical Chair, Al Czamara of LOA Technology followed and let attendees know how topics presented in Aart's speech were being covered throughout the conference.

The conference schedule included 35 User Papers, 21 Tutorials and one Panel presented in 5 parallel tracks over 2 days. User Papers received an average rating of 4.1 out of 5, Tutorials averaged 4.4 and the 65 Nanometer Technical Challenges Panel received a 4.0 rating. With onsite survey results averaging 4.0 or higher SNUG Boston proved to be an exceptional event.
Day one ended with Synopsys R&D Night where customers were able to gain direct access to Synopsys R&D engineers, application experts and executives. Technical experts were available throughout the evening to discuss Synopsys' major products and services. Everyone was surprised when the walls opened, transforming R&D Night into Club SNUG where SNUG’s house band “Blues Compiler” played to an enthusiastic crowd. This concert has become a favorite way to wrap up day one in Boston.
Best Paper and Technical Committee awards were presented on day two. The always popular poster session followed the User Paper Awards, and the day ended with four of the top-rated Synopsys Tutorials. Thank you SNUG Boston participants, attendees and sponsors. We hope to see you at future SNUG events! |
