SNUG Israel 2008
Trip Report
The eighth Annual SNUG Israel convened on April 9, 2008, at the Daniel Hotel in Herzelia, Israel. Four hundred ninety two attendees representing over 90 companies came together to exchange ideas, discuss problems and explore solutions with fellow design engineers and Synopsys' technical staff.

The SNUG program began with a brief welcome and introduction by Eran Arad of Conexant, who is the SNUG Israel Technical Chairperson. It was standing-room only when Eyal Odiz, Synopsys VP R&D, delivered the keynote speech. Following the keynote, attendees were offered a full 18 sessions agenda of tutorials, panels and user presentations. At the end of the day, a cocktail reception provided a relaxed atmosphere for the awards presentations. As determined by the technical committee, this year's SNUG Israel "Best Paper" Award went to Hatem Yazbek of Marvell, for the paper entitled, " Reliable Frequency Prediction @ RTL Level in deep sub-micron processes.
Congratulations to everyone involved in organizing SNUG Israel, notably the SNUG Israel core team, lead by Maty Vaisman. Their consistent dedication and hard work has been instrumental to the ongoing success of SNUG.
