SNUG Taiwan 2006
Trip Report
The sixth annual SNUG Taiwan was held on May 16-17 at the Ambassador Hotel in Hsinchu.
Despite a typhoon approaching, the event attracted 362 design engineers from over 80 different companies, who came to learn and interact with their peers and Synopsys technical fellows. This attendance represents an attendance growth of 29% from 2005.
The event began with a keynote address by Synopsys' Senior VP of Engineering
Paul Lo, who shared his views on “Partnership for Predictable Success” including a highlight on the close partnership between Synopsys and the semiconductor industry community in Taiwan. IBM, the local premier sponsor of SNUG Taiwan, also addressed attendees. Jeffrey Dunn, IBM’s Deep Computing AP Leader, gave a speech entitled "Electronic Design Automation Collaborative Innovation”.
Following the keynote speeches, the event continued with five Synopsys tutorial sessions and eleven user presentations. Congratulations go out to the following user presenters for winning awards at SNUG:
